Actor Oh Youngsoo (who is 82) has officially been cleared by the Supreme Court four years after the whole case first started. Previously, he had been accused of forcing himself on a female theater worker.

According to legal sources on the 26th, the Supreme Court rejected the prosecution's appeal on the 25th. By doing that, they agreed with an earlier court's decision that he was not guilty.

To give you the back story, Oh Youngsoo was accused of inappropriately touching a younger female coworker called Ms. A twice back in 2017. Prosecutors claimed that while they were out of town for a play called 'King Lear' in August 2017, he hugged her on a walking path and said, "Let's hug." They also said that in September of that year, he kissed her on the cheek outside her home right after the hallway light went out while she was unlocking her door.

He was officially indicted without detention November 2022 across these two instances. At the time, he completely denied it, saying:

"I did hold her hand to show her the way, but it was not molestation."

The case was a total rollercoaster. In March 2024, the first court believed the victim's story and found Oh Youngsoo guilty. They gave him an eight-month prison sentence, suspended for two years. Both sides didn't agree and appealed the decision. Then, in November of last year, the appeals court completely changed the ruling and found him not guilty.

The appeals court noted, "The allegations are indeed suspicious," pointing out that the victim went to a counseling center six months later, told her friends, and Oh Youngsoo apologized to her via text message when she asked for one.

They also added that her story changed over time. First, she said he 'tried to kiss' her and later saying that he 'actually kissed' her. The court said this means her memory might have mixed up over time and stated, "When a crime is not definitively proven, the judgment must favor the interest of the defendant." In other words, the court couldn't find him guilty without a concrete evidence.

The court also looked closely at the victim's personal diary entries. They noted that before the alleged incident, she wrote that Oh Youngsoo told her, "I see you as a woman," and she later wrote about the MeToo movement. But on the other hand, she also wrote that she missed him and even sent him text messages asking how he was doing. The court concluded that because her memory might have changed over time, there was too much doubt to find him guilty

Regarding this, the victim's side raised their voices:

"This ruling is a shameful verdict that protects the power imbalances where sexual violence happens. We urge the judiciary to responsibly reflect on what kind of message this ruling sends to society."

If you forgot who he is, Oh Youngsoo became famous all over the world in 2021 as Oh Ilnam in Netflix's huge hit 'Squid Game.' The next year, he made history by becoming the first Korean actor to win a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor. However, as soon as these accusations came out, his career took a huge hit, and he was even kicked off a movie project.

So Jisub calmly looked back at the time he mad his acting debut in the drama 'Model.' He explained, "I debuted in the SBS' drama 'Model,' where I played Kim Namjoo's younger brother. The lead actor at the time was Jang Donggun. Back then, all the leading male actors looked like sculptures and had deep double eyelids." He revealed:

Thankfully, the public perception completely changed over time. He sent the entire set into laughs as he said:

"After 'I'm Sorry, I Love You,' I suddenly became known as a handsome actor. It felt really awkward. I was just hanging in there, and then all of a sudden people started saying things like that."

Epik High recently posted a video titled 'Almost Got High Blood Pressure Giving Chaotic Life Advice' on their official Youtube channel on the 25th, where the members sat down to listen to fans' concerns and give some advice.

In this video, a fan shared her struggle, saying, "My dad is completely obsessed with me. I hid my boyfriend from him for three years before finally telling him, and just as I expected, he doesn't really like it." She added, "He said it feels like someone has stolen his daughter from him. But didn't he marry someone else's precious daughter too? As his daughter, I don't know how should I handle this."

To this, Tukutz did not hold back and responded firmly, "There are certain things you should never say, like 'It feels like my daughter was stolen' or 'It feels like my son was stolen.' You should absolutely never say things like that" Tablo totally agreed, adding, "I really hate that expression too. What do you mean someone stole them?" to which Mithra Jin chimed in, "You shouldn't treat your children like they're your possessions."

Tablo then pointed out how contradictory the whole mindset is, saying, "It's contradictory for someone who thinks of their child as their possession to not even realize that their daughter had been dating someone for three years." He also noted, "Fathers like that often completely change their attitude depending on who the boyfriend is," leading Tukutz to jokingly test him:

"Let's say Haru brings home a boyfriend. What if he gave you 100 million KRW in cash as pocket money?"

Tablo immediately shot back, "I'd hate it," but couldn't hide the smile creeping onto his face, which completely sent the room into laughs.

In case you didn't know, Tablo married actress Kang Hyejung back in 2009, and they have a daughter named Haru. The family previously stole everyone's hearts when they appeared on KBS2's 'The Return of Superman' back in 2013.

On top of her academics, she's been showcasing her extraordinary artistic talents. She actually co-wrote the lyrics for KiiiKiii's 'To Me From Me' with her dad, and even helped translate the subtitles for the film 'Nirvana: the Band the Show the Movie.' Recently, she caught everyone's attention after being credited as the sole lyricist for RIIZE's new mini-album title track, 'Do Your Dance.'

Actress Jin Kijoo shared a super fun update on her growing global popularity right now.

If you've been keeping up, 'Teach You a Lesson' has been killing it since it came out on the 5th, consistently holding down the #1 spot on Netflix’s charts. The series follows the story of Education Rights Protection Bureau as they try to restore order to a completely collapsing education system. To celebrate the release, TV Report met up with Jin Kijoo for an interview at a cafe in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

Let's be real, 'Teach You a Lesson' was surrounded by drama before it even dropped. The original webtoon faced heavy criticism over allegations of sexism and racism, and they even had to replace the lead actor, which made the whole production process pretty messy. Given all that, everyone was wondering what actually made Jin Kijoo choose this project.

She explained, "I really liked the clear premise that victims are protected. Sometimes in our society, things that should be obvious aren't treated as such. Reading the script gave me a sense of relief in that regard. I also trusted that the writer would tell this story in a warm and thoughtful way, and I had great confidence in the director."

Jin Kijoo also admitted that working on this project completely opened her eyes to how harsh schools actually are these days. She shared, "Even when watching the same news as everyone else, I found myself paying much more attention whenever there was a story related to education." She added:

"Sometimes, I felt reality was even harsher than the drama. So much has changed compared to when I was a student. As we prepared for the project, I would share such articles with the cast whenever I came across it."

Despite all the early concerns, the show has officially turned into a massive global hit, ranking #1 worldwide for three consecutive weeks and completely stealing viewers hearts.

Naturally, the interviewer had to ask if she's been obsessively checking her social media followers now that international fans are flooding in. Jin Kijoo laughed and totally admitted:

"I do find myself checking the number of my followers. It's fascinating when I wake up and see the number has changed from the day before. An international fan even created a chronological timeline of my life, including what I did before becoming an actress. I found that incredibly fascinating."

When asked about the most memorable reaction she's gotten so far, Jin Kijoo shared a really emotional story, "A friend shared one with me. His mother and wife are both teachers. He said they watched the show in tears. I heard this shortly after the realy, so it has stayed with me." She added:

"'Teach You a Lesson' is realistic, yet blended with elements of fantasy. It can make you laugh and cry, and then cry and laugh again. I think that's why people are responding so positively to it."

Regarding the core message of the show, Jin Kijoo shared her thoughts, "There's a line spoken by my character, Im Hanrim: 'The Education Rights Protection Bureau sincerely cares about victims.' I think that line represents what the series wants to say. It's also something that every single character carries deep in their heart."

The globally popular 'Teach You a Lesson' is currently streaming on Netflix if you want to see what all the hype is about!

Singer Ben has opened up about the real reasons why she decided to get a divorce just six months after giving birth.

We got the full, unfiltered story when K.Will recently dropped a video titled 'Knowing Hyungsoo' on his Youtube channel on the 24th. In this episode, Ben shared, "I feel like I've been through everything. Naturally, my personality has changed as well." She added:

"The divorce process was difficult, and ending it was, of course, incredibly painful. It wasn't just a simple breakup. We had a child together. I made the choice to get a divorce just 6 months after giving birth."

Ben admitted that things had been rocky for quite a long time, recalling, "I often say that I carried the burden of living with that person for five years. Since we weren't just simply boyfriend and girlfriend, I have to be extremely careful. I tried holding it in, getting angry, and many other things. Then I became pregnant. She explained that the pregnancy felt like a lifeline at first, saying:

"When things were at the hardest, I became pregnant. I thought, 'This child has come to save me.' I believed that no matter what happened, I would finally be happy."

But she revealed that things quickly took a turn, saying, "But even at that moment, another incident occured." She added, "I feel betrayed. It was just too overwhelming to handle."

Even when she decided to separate, the choice wasn't easy. She shared, "Even when I was separating, I kept wavering. I wondered, 'Should I not leave?' and 'Is this really the right choice?" She revealed that what ultimately pushed her forward was looking at the bigger picture:

"I looked ahead. I imagined my daughter 3 years later, when she would be 6 years old, and asked myself, 'Will things be better by then?' Somehow, I felt like I would probably still be having the exact same thoughts. I figured if it wasn't going to work, it was better to end it sooner than later."

Breaking down in tears, Ben added, "I'm not good at ending relationships. Especially when I love someoney, I love deeply and give my everything. There were many things that happened that broke the trust between me and my ex-husband, but aside from that, he was still someone I truly loved. That made the breakup extremely painful."

Despite the heartbreak, Ben stands by her choice. She emphasized, "Marriage is not something you can sustain based on feelings alone. That's why I made a very difficult decision." She continued:

"Even now, I believe getting a divorce was the right move. I need to be whole, I need to be happy, and I need to survive so that my child can survive too."

Ben also confessed that her family wasn't initially on board, stating, "My father was strongly against the divorce." She added, "He's from an older generation, so he has a different way of thinking. He told me that everyone lives through such things. I feel incredibly sorry to my father, but I have a long life ahead of me, I had no choice."

On top of that, Ben was also pressured by the fear of the public eye. She admitted, "What scared me the most was that I had announced, 'I'll be back after giving birth safely,' and then ended up getting divorced." She added:

"I was afraid of how people would look at me and what they would say. I'm in a profession where I'm constantly being judged, and this was a choice I made. Even so, I couldn't help being afraid."

Looking back on her fearful past, she continued, "I was so scared that my body was literally trembling from the anxiety. I never regretted my decision, but I was terrified of what people would think. I worried that the public would think I'm ridiculous for leaving to have a baby only to return as a single mother."

Ultimately, that fear is why she decided to join the cast of 'All By Myself.' She admitted, "Deciding to appear on the show was also a difficult choice, but I thought it would be better if I told my story myself. The fact that I'm a single mother isn't going to change, and it's not like I did anything wrong. I wanted to show that this was a choice I needed to make in order to live well."

To give you the backstory on her relationship, Ben married a businessman back in 2021 after a period of public dating, and they later welcomed their daughter. However, they announced their divorce in 2024. At the time, her agency stated that the divorce was due to 'fault on the husband's side' and confirmed that Ben would take the full custody of their child.
