Ryeowook shares how he lost 10kg in 2 months with one-food diet: "Don't use Mounjaro"

According to TenAsia, Super Junior's Ryeowook shared a story about how he successfully lost 10kg in just two months prior to his debut in the web variety show 'Deokbabjib Store No.2' on the 16th.

When asked, "What is a memorable food that brings back emotional memories from your rookie days?" Ryeowook instantly replied, "Soybean paste stew." He recalled:

"I got into the company solely based on my singing skills. I ate whatever I wanted. I didn't really know anything about being a trainee or how to manage my weight."

He continued, "I kept eating tteokbokki, sweet and sour pork, and jjajangmyeon like I always did before I joined the company. Everyone there was so skinny." He explained, "Our current CEO was Super Junior's manager at the time," before adding:

"One day, he suddenly told me, 'Ryeowook, from today on, let's only eat soybean paste stew.' While everyone else was eating jjajangmyeon, I was the only one eating soybean paste stew. Eventually, I got so sick of it that I barely wanted to eat. That's how I lost weight."

Hearing this, Changmin asked, "How long did you eat soybean paste stew back then?" Ryeowook replied:

"Maybe I lived like that for about a month or two? I entered SM Entertainment in September and debuted in November. I probably lost about 8 to 10kg then. You don't need Mounjaro. Don't do stuff like that. Just eat like I did."

Previously, Ryeowook appeared on another show and revealed old photos showing a very different appearance. At the time, he confessed, "I was really chubby when I was younger. I used to weigh around 82kg." He also explained that he lost 22kg in just 30 days prior to his debut.

Meanwhile, according to his official profile, Ryeowook is known to consistently maintain a weight of 58kg at a height of 172cm

Hyerim on the harsh price of filling Sunmi's spot: "I got every kind of hate comments you can ever imagine"

Hyerim, who joined Wonder Girls after Sunmi left, opened up about the reaction she received from the public at the time. Although she joined the team at the height of their popularity, what she remembers most is not the fame, but the criticism.

On the 18th, MK Sports reported a video titled 'Wonder Girls' Sunye and Hyerim: K-Pop pioneers who went from idols to raising five children' was posted on Tak Jaehoon's Youtube channel the previous day.

In this episode, Hyerim was introduced as the final member to join Wonder Girls. When Tak Jaehoon asked, "How long after the group debuted did you join?" Hyerim replied, "I joined after the 'Tell Me' and 'Nobody' promotions ended." Tak Jaehoon commented, "'Nobody' was when the group was at its peak, and you joined after that."

The conversation naturally shifted to Wonder Girls' peak years. When Tak Jaehoon asked, "Weren't your appearance fees no joke back then?" Sunye recalled that Wonder Girls' status at the time was so high that a single commercial endorsement was reportedly worth around 1 billion KRW.

However, Hyerim remembered something very different, saying, "I joined after all the commercial deals were already over." She added:

"I was a trainee when they were actively promoting. I used to hear stories about how much they made just from filming commercials. I ended up joining for no good reason and just got hated on."

At the time, Wonder Girls were already popular and Sunmi's popularity was at its peak. Hyerim stated:

"I was filling the position that Sunmi left behind. She was so loved by fans. I received every kind of hate comments you can ever imagine."

Hyerim shared that she purposely avoided reading the comments because she was afraid of getting hurt, saying:

"To be honest, I didn't ready any of the comments. I was worried they would hurt me."

She continued, "Everyone around me would say things like, 'Are you okay? I heard you're getting a lot of hate these days.' They told me not to read the comments, so I didn't."

Even though she never read the comments herself, she was aware of how people felt about her. For Hyerim, who joined Wonder Girls right in the middle of the group's peak years, filling the void left by Sunmi turned out to be a far greater burden than she had expected.

Nichkhun opens up about his shocking 'chubby visual': "I didn't manage myself, so I look ugly ... I can just lose the weight"

According to a recent report by Sports Chosun, 2PM's member Nichkhun has personally addressed his 'chubbier appearance' that once became a hot topic online in a video titled 'Must watch before traveling to Thailand: Thai native Nichkhun's recommended items from Thai supermarkets' that was recently posted on 2PM's official Youtube channel.

In the video, Nichkhun visited his hometown in Thailand for an event and introduced his favorite products from a local supermarket, including snacks, instant noodles, durian, and other daily necessities.

Afterward, he stopped by a cafe with a beautiful garden and ordered various food and drinks for the staff. However, Nichkhun himself only drank an Americano and maintained an empty stomach to manage his condition before the event. When a staff member showed their concern, he casually replied, "I'm fine. I'll eat a lot after the event."

In particular, Nichkhun also shared that he had recently succeeded in losing weight, saying:

"I have lost weight for the promotions. It was tough."

During the conversation, the production staff brought up about the time they had to film a content when Nichkhun appeared to have gained weight and expressed their apologetic feelings about it. At the time, Nichkhun drew attention because of his noticeably chubbier appearance compared to the past. Regarding this, he explained:

"We were filming in a very relaxed atmosphere back then. I wasn't managing my facial expressions, so I think I ended up looking even uglier. But the content was fun, wasn't it? That's all that matters. I can always lose the weight."

Nichkhun alo expressed his affections for fans, saying, "Thankfully, my fans told me, 'People should live happily.' I was so grateful for those words."

Meanwhile, Nichkhun has regained a much slimmer look after successfully losing weight. He also continues to actively communicate with fans.

COMMENTS:

1. [+167][-4] I thought it was Sung Dongilã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

2. [+165][-12] It's true that he got chubbier, but it's not like his face became wrinkly or completely sagged. Once he loses the weight, he'll probably get his prime visuals back again.

3. [+112][-3] As expected, that's the confidence of a wealthy man~~~~~~~~~~~~ ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

4. [+17][-2] He can always just lose the weight anyway.

5. [+16][-2] His facial features are beautiful to begin with, so extra weight doesn't really matter. I'm so jealous~
