Actress Moon Chaewon is officially tying the knot today (the 28th), starting a new chapter in her life!

She is marrying her non-celebrity fiancé at a private venue somewhere in Seoul. Because her partner is not a public figure, they're keeping things super lowkey out of consideration for him and both of their families. So, the wedding will be completely private with just family and close relatives attending.

If you remember, Moon Chaewon actually broke the news herself back in April. At the time, she announced, "I'm a little nervous about starting and building a family, but even more than that, I'm excited." She also reassured everyone, "Going forward, I also plan to show more diverse sides of myself through my work."

The second she announced the wedding without any prior dating rumors, the internet did what it does best. People online started claiming she was marrying a dermatologist who is younger than her, and there were even shotgun wedding rumors flying around. But thankfully, all of that turned out to be completely fake.

Moon Chaewon actually took matters into her own hands and addressed the gossip directly on her Youtube channel, saying, "My fiancé is not a dermatologist who is younger than me." Her agency also stepped in to firmly deny the pregnancy rumors, calling them 'completely unfounded.'

Ahead of her big day, she also dropped her wedding pictorials. Wearing a white wedding dress, Moon Chaewoon looked incredibly graceful and elegant while showing off how excited she is for the wedding. Following the surprise marriage news that came without any prior dating rumors, the wedding photo has brought a massive outpouring of congratulations from fans all over the world.

It's crazy to think about how far she's come since she made her acting debut in 2007 through the SBS' 'Mackerel Run.' Since then, she's become a total staple on Korean TV, receiving love for her roles in hit dramas like 'Painter of the Wind,' 'Brilliant Legacy,' 'The Princess' Man,' 'The Innocent Man,' 'Good Doctor,' 'Flower of Evil,' 'Payback: Money and Power,' and more. She has also starred in major movies like 'War of the Arrows' and 'Love Forecast.' Just this year, she reunited with audiences through 'Heartman.'

Actor Choi Wooshik has unexpectedly been facing allegations of racism after walking right past a fan who wanted his autograph at a fashion show in Paris, France.

On the 26th, a woman posted a video on her TikTok account claiming that Choi Wooshik intentionally ignored her at the AMI Paris Fashion Show. Introducing herself as an actress and writer, she said:

"Usually, I don't default to saying that weird or uncomfortable situations happen, you know, because of (my skin color). But what happened was so strange that like, your girl is still shaking."

She explained that she often gets invited to fan events because of her job and had even made a handmade sign for her favorite actor. She noted, "It was the end of the show and the celebrities are coming over to say hi to the fans, take pictures, and things like that. And then, I see my favorite actor came out. Now, bear in mind, I'm the only one in my barricade section that has a poster and a hand sign of him."

According to her, Choi Wooshik didn't even look her way. She claimed, "He looks at my poster, then he looks away, but he's walking towards us. He stands right in front of me, but he doesn't make eye contact with me. He's signing for people to my left. Then he starts signing above my head. At some point,he even signs the little traditional fan they were giving in the fashion show." She continued,

"He signs everybody else's stuff except for mine, and then he walks away."

She made it clear that the issue wasn't just about missing out on an autograph, expressing her frustration, stating, "What I thought was confusing is that he came all the way to the only sign and poster of him, signed everybody else's stuff, and left." She added:

"I was the only black person in that section. I don't know if it was racism or unconscious bias, but it was a deeply humiliating experience."

She further revealed that she even ran into him later at the after-party but chose to cross the street so she wouldn't think she was stalking him. She shared, "It's almost as if like I was being told, 'You're not allowed to be here' or 'You're not allowed to be my fan.'" She added, "If it's because I'm Black, I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do about it. It made me think that if you have darker skin, you can't be his fan."

To back up her claims, she also posted a video she recorded at the scene. In the clip, you can hear her repeatedly calling out, 'Please!' and 'I love you,' while the actor signs things for everyone else around before walking off. Even though his face was blurred out, videos posted by other fans quickly revealed that it was Choi Wooshik.

As the controversy started spreading, international fans are completely split. Lots of people criticized him over the alleged racism, but plenty of others jumped to his defense, saying things like, 'He can't possibly sign for everyone at the event,' 'Maybe he was embarrassed because she was openly showing how big of a fan she was,' and 'It just looks like he was signing randomly. This seems like a victim mentality.'

Looking at the big picture, Choi Wooshik has never had a single racism allegation in his entire career, both in South Korea and globally. In fact, back in 2020 after the death of George Floyd in the US, he personally joined the anti-racism #BlackoutTuesday campaign by posting about it on his personal social media account. He also has been communicating with international fans, actively hanging out with them regardless of their nationality or race, which is why some people are finding these claims so hard to believe.

Actor Oh Youngsoo (who is 82) has officially been cleared by the Supreme Court four years after the whole case first started. Previously, he had been accused of forcing himself on a female theater worker.

According to legal sources on the 26th, the Supreme Court rejected the prosecution's appeal on the 25th. By doing that, they agreed with an earlier court's decision that he was not guilty.

To give you the back story, Oh Youngsoo was accused of inappropriately touching a younger female coworker called Ms. A twice back in 2017. Prosecutors claimed that while they were out of town for a play called 'King Lear' in August 2017, he hugged her on a walking path and said, "Let's hug." They also said that in September of that year, he kissed her on the cheek outside her home right after the hallway light went out while she was unlocking her door.

He was officially indicted without detention November 2022 across these two instances. At the time, he completely denied it, saying:

"I did hold her hand to show her the way, but it was not molestation."

The case was a total rollercoaster. In March 2024, the first court believed the victim's story and found Oh Youngsoo guilty. They gave him an eight-month prison sentence, suspended for two years. Both sides didn't agree and appealed the decision. Then, in November of last year, the appeals court completely changed the ruling and found him not guilty.

The appeals court noted, "The allegations are indeed suspicious," pointing out that the victim went to a counseling center six months later, told her friends, and Oh Youngsoo apologized to her via text message when she asked for one.

They also added that her story changed over time. First, she said he 'tried to kiss' her and later saying that he 'actually kissed' her. The court said this means her memory might have mixed up over time and stated, "When a crime is not definitively proven, the judgment must favor the interest of the defendant." In other words, the court couldn't find him guilty without a concrete evidence.

The court also looked closely at the victim's personal diary entries. They noted that before the alleged incident, she wrote that Oh Youngsoo told her, "I see you as a woman," and she later wrote about the MeToo movement. But on the other hand, she also wrote that she missed him and even sent him text messages asking how he was doing. The court concluded that because her memory might have changed over time, there was too much doubt to find him guilty

Regarding this, the victim's side raised their voices:

"This ruling is a shameful verdict that protects the power imbalances where sexual violence happens. We urge the judiciary to responsibly reflect on what kind of message this ruling sends to society."

If you forgot who he is, Oh Youngsoo became famous all over the world in 2021 as Oh Ilnam in Netflix's huge hit 'Squid Game.' The next year, he made history by becoming the first Korean actor to win a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor. However, as soon as these accusations came out, his career took a huge hit, and he was even kicked off a movie project.
