It has been revealed that actor So Jisub gifted real gold to every single cast and crew member to celebrate the end of filming the popular drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated.'

On the 26th, photos of the custom gifts So Jisub gave to the cast and crew of the SBS drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated' spread quickly across online communities. The photos showed pieces of gold inside custom boxes, along with a handwritten thank-you note from the actor.

In the letter, So Jisub wrote, "Working on this project has brought me great joy and touched me deeply. Thank you to everyone who quietly gave their best in their respective roles to make 'Agent Kim Reactivated' shine."

It was reported that right after filming finished, So Jisub personally handed out these gifts to about 300 cast and crew members. Back in May, actor Lim Hyowoo shared photos of the gold and flowers on Instagram along with the caption, "Thank you to So Jisub Sunbaenim for the gift. Great job to all the staff who worked so hard until May 13." At the time So Jisub handed out the gifts, the price of gold in South Korea was roughly 220,000 KRW (~$150) per gram.

This is not the first time So Jisub has gifted gold to his team. Last year, after finishing the Netflix series 'Mercy for None,' he gave one don, which is a traditional Korean weight unit of gold equal to 3.75 grams, to all the actors, managers, and staff members, which grabbed a lot of attention.

So Jisub later appeared on the Youtube channel 'Channel Fullmoon' and explained the real reason behind his special gifts, saying, "I've always bought gifts with my own money after finishing a project, but people kept thinking they were sponsored. Gold can't be sponsored," and added:

"I wanted to give something that people could sell and use someday if times ever became difficult."

So Jisub's thoughtful gesture comes right after 'Agent Kim Reactivated' ended as a massive hit. The drama concluded its run with viewer ratings of 23.0% according to Nielsen Korea. It passed the 20% mark by just its fourth episode and peaked at 23.1% in Episode 8, becoming the second highest-rated SBS Friday-Saturday drama of all time.

As the drama wrapped up its successful run, So Jisub shared a message through his agency, 51K, saying, "We could only finish 'Agent Kim Reactivated' because of the hard work of the staff behind the scenes. I also want to sincerely thank all my fellow actors creating such great chemistry with me from start to finish."

Ok Taecyeon is officially making a cameo appearance in SBS' new Friday-Saturday drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated.'

If you haven't started watching 'Agent Kim Reactivated' yet, the drama follows the story of an ordinary father who transforms into a highly dangerous man to rescue his only daughter

The drama just premiered on June 26, and the ratings are already insane. With just two episodes, it reached a peak nationwide viewership rating of 18.1%. It also topped the charts by scoring a peak 20-49 demographic rating of 7.17%, ranking No. 1 across every single network and genre that week.

Anyway, back to Taecyeon. He is playing Park Youngkwang, a powerful supporting character who teams up with Manager Kim (So Jisub) for some high-stakes, life-or-deat action scenes. The newly released stills of his special appearance are already everywhere, and they look incredible.

The production team shared that Taecyeon used his athletic build and high energy to perfectly nail the special forces training and deployment scenes, making everything look immersive. Even though it's just a short appearance, it's expected to be the highlight of the episode, especially with the awesome bromance chemistry between him and So Jisub.

Taecyeon also shared his excitement, saying:

"I was so excited to have the opportunity to act alongside So Jisub Sunbaenim. That's why I decided to join without any hesitation."

He added that the vibe on set was incredibly welcoming, mentioning, "Everyone was so considerate that I had an amazing time filming. I was truly happy to be part of 'Agent Kim Reactivated.' I hope viewers will enjoy all the different sides the drama has to offer."

If you’ve been tuning into SBS’s new drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated,' you've probably seen the rookie actress playing So Jisub's daughter. Her name is Seo Sumin, and her popularity is currently skyrocketing after just two episodes.

The drama, which is based on the hit webtoon of the same name, is already breaking records. It tells the story of 'the world's most ordinary father' who suddenly turns into 'the world's most dangerous man' to rescue his one and only daughter. Featuring star-studded cast like So Jisub, Choi Daehoon, and Yoon Kyunghoo, the drama reached viewer ratings of 15.7% (peaking at 18.1%), officially making it SBS' highest-rated drama of the year so far.

What a lot of people don't know is that even though 'Agent Kim Reactivated' marks her official drama debut, Seo Sumin was already a viral sensation on social media way before that.

Being the Gen Z she is, Seo Sumin initially launched her own personal Youtube channel to introduce herself to the public. Last year, she posted a quick 44-second clip titled 'Taking off my glasses and getting comfortable with the camera,' which has reached a whopping 3.16 million views as of the 29th.

She also caught everyone's attention back in August 2023, when she appeared on the channel of popular beauty creator 'Haemin Sunsaeng.' The video she featured on easily reached 2 million views, and when she went back to the channel in May 2025, she spilled:

"I received love calls from major agencies that everyone would recognize. I'm now signed with an agency and have been training an actress."

Fast forward to today, Seo Sumin is officially signed under Y-ONE Entertainment, the same home to major actors like Shin Sungrok and Lee Bumsoo. Now that the drama is a massive hit, her old videos are resurfacing everywhere, with netizens commenting things like, "I've watched the video. She's really adorable," "Her acting is surprisingly solid," and "She definitely has star potential."
