The members of 2NE1 celebrated their 17th debut anniversary 'together with Park Bom.'

On the 17th, Sandara Park uploaded photos to her personal social media account with the caption, "Happy 17th anniversary~!!!"

The released photos captured all four 2NE1 members together. Their harmonious group chemistry especially drew attention.

On the same day, Gong Minzy also celebrated the group's 17th anniversary by posting the same photo shared by Sandara Park along with the message, "Happy 17th anniversary to us."

Previously, Park Bom paused her activities with 2NE1 due to health reasons. Since then, the group has been promoting as a three-member group.

Following Park Bom's hiatus, rumors of conflict within the group began circulating. In March, Park Bom uploaded posts that appeared to express frustration regarding her past drug controversy, while also including a message seemingly aimed at Sandara Park. In response, Sandara Park addressed the controversy by saying, "I have never used drugs. I hope she stays healthy."

Afterwards, Sandara Park and CL unfollowed Park Bom's social media account. Furthermore, the members drew attention by posting group photos of 2NE1 without Park Bom to show their bond, creating an awkward atmosphere.

However, the situation appeared different on the group's 17th debut anniversary. Sandara Park and Gong Minzy celebrated the occasion by posting old photos together with Park Bom who is currently on hiatus, drawing attention by showing their lasting friendship.

TripleS' Kim Yooyeon personally addresses smoking rumors: "I’ve never smoked ... Even my parents are upset about it"

TripleS' Kim Yooyeon strongly denied the smoking rumors surrounding her.

On the 14th, a video titled 'I’ve never seen a girl group lie this much | EP.15 tripleS Yooyeon & Nakyoung' was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'oOo_blahblah.' The episode featured Kim Yooyeon and Kim Nakyeong showing off their playful chemistry.

After discussing various topics throughout the episode, host Lee Yongjin told Kim Yooyeon, "Lastly, please clear up something you really want people to know." As if she had been waiting for the chance, Kim Yooyeon responded, "When people search my name, because of something from the past, they think I smoke. Honestly, I feel really wronged because I've never even tried cigarettes or vaping. Those related search terms keep appearing and it makes my parents really upset. Smoking itself isn't wrong, but I personally don't smoke."

After hearing this, Lee Yongjin jokingly said, "So, you have quit smoking," which caused Kim Yooyeon to react strongly by saying, "My entire life depends on clearing this up right now. Can't you see my heart racing now?" Lee Yongjin quickly tried to calm the situation by explaining, "That was just an uncle joke." Later, when asked asked, "Have you ever smoked a cigarette even once in your life?", Kim Yooyeon firmly answered, "No." The lie detector then returned a 'truth' result, successfully clearing up the smoking controversy that had continued to follow her.

Kim Yooyeon first became involved in smoking rumors after appearing on the YouTube channel 'Nobacktack' in 2024. In the video, when Tak Jaehoon noted that she could not drink alcohol, he jokingly asked if she relieved stress through smoking instead. While fellow member Kim Nakyeong appeared surprised, Kim Yooyeon smiled and replied, "I relieve stress through singing and dancing." The clip later went viral and led to ongoing smoking rumors. South Korea’s famous 'Chungju City PR Man,' Kim Seontae, met Sullyoon, known as one of K-Pop's top visuals, at the headquarters of JYP Entertainment and created a legendary exchange full of playful teasing.

On the 15th, a video titled 'Promoting Sullyoon' was uploaded to Kim Seontae’s YouTube channel, featuring Sullyoon as a guest.

In the video, Kim Seontae asked, "Since when did you know you were pretty? You have to answer honestly." Sullyoon shocked him by saying, "Honestly, since I was old enough to understand words," making everyone laugh. She is also well known for passing auditions at all three major entertainment companies: SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and YG Entertainment.

Sullyoon added, "Actually, I’m kind of someone whose visuals declined over time. I was really pretty as a baby. Of course, all babies are pretty, though."

When asked whether there was any member she felt jealous of, she paused for a moment to think. Kim Seontae joked, “So basically there isn’t one, right?” Sullyoon flusteredly replied, "No, I was actually debating about who to choose. I could honestly name every member.”

Kim Seontae then asked, "Who improved the fastest during trainee days?" Sullyoon answered, "Everyone except me."

That day, Sullyoon also promoted NMIXX’s 5th mini-album title track, 'Heavy Serenade,' which was released on the 11th. She described it as a song that begins with a dreamy intro before exploding into a powerful rock sound. She then performed part of the song live on the spot. After hearing her unique vocal tone and live singing skills firsthand, Kim Seontae dropped his joking attitude and showed genuine admiration, further raising anticipation for the new song.

On the 18th, tvN’s 'You Quiz on the Block' uploaded a preview clip on its official account titled, 'The hard truth from Gong Seungyeon's mother that snapped her back to reality after spending 7 years as a trainee.'

In the video, Yoo Jaesuk asked, "I heard you entered SM Entertainment after winning the 'best looks' title in a gayageum competition. I'm curious who your fellow trainees were at the time.'

In response, Gong Seungyeon said, "There were members of Girls' Generation, Super Junior, Red Velvet, EXO, and more," before adding, "At that time, I didnt really have natural talent, so I wasn’t good at singing or dancing. There was a reason I couldn’t debut."

She continued, "When I ultimately failed to debut and left the agency, I felt completely lost. I didn’t know how to begin on my own."

Gong Seungyeon recalled, "One day, while I was just lying around at home, my mother bluntly said, 'How long are you going to waste your life at home?'" She added, "That snapped me back to reality. So after that, I went around meeting my acquaintances and earnestly asked them to give me audition opportunities."

Gong Seungyeon's journey to becoming an actress will be revealed on the episode of 'You Quiz on the Block' airing on the 20th.

'40 year old' Kim Jaejoong becomes a grandfather … "The first-ever ‘grandpa idol’ in idol history"

Singer and actor Kim Jaejoong (40) shared that his nephew recently had a baby, making him the first K-Pop idol to officially become a 'K-Grandfather.'

On the episode of KBS2's 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' that aired on the 15th, Kim Jaejoong invited his close friends Choi Jinhyuk, Yoon Shiyoon, and Yoo Seonho to his family home and prepared them a nourishing meal. While talking to his mother during the cooking, Kim Jaejoong revealed the news by saying, "My nephew had a baby. That means I have my first grandchild now, right?"

Kim Jaejoong had previously shared the news of his nephew's pregnancy a year ago through 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant.' On this day, he excitedly said, "I've finally become a grandfather. It feels realy strange." In response, MC Boom offered his congratulations, saying, "With the birth of the fourth generation in your family of nine siblings, the total number of your family members has now grown to 34."
