SM Ent. regarding Seunghan's activities (Solo debut in the second half of 2025)

theqoo

-To Seunghan's fans, please stop spreading rumors and threats about RIIZE and support his solo career instead. Some fans are saying they're gonna shoot at MAMA in U.S. Please, support your own idols. Do it for Seunghan.

-Good. Now spend your money to support Seunghan instead of making a fuss.

-Whoa... This is goof for him. Seunghan-ie, fighting!

-Goodㅋㅋㅋ Let's each go our own way.

-SM Ent. should've done this earlier. International fans who have been harassing RIIZE by shouting 'RIIZE is 7' should stop and support Seunghan's solo career instead.

-Now that Seunghan is debuting as a solo artist, anyone who still harasses RIIZE probably does it just because they hate RIIZE... Just support Seunghan instead...

-Going solo is the best choice... Good for him.

-I wonder if OT7 fans will quiet down now...? I hope everyone can go their own way now.

-The OT7 fans will probably stop now...

-Congrats. I hope he doesn't get involved with RIIZE in anyway and I also hope for Seunghan's fans to stop harassing RIIZE.

-Goodㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ International cockroaches fansㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ They can focus on supporting Seunghan nowㅋㅋ

-Now please leave RIIZE aloneㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Will THE BOYZ become THE BOYS ... One Hundred files for multiple trademarks

SPOTVNEWS | Journalist Jang Jinri

https://m.entertain.naver.com/article/477/0000521887

It has been confirmed that One Hundred, who recently signed an exclusive contract with THE BOYZ, has filed multiple trademarks related to the group's name.

One Hundred, which was established through a joint investment with MC Mong, recently signed a contract with THE BOYZ. It's reported that the members, who have been discussing with One Hundred behind the scenes, recently signed the agreement.

Rumors of THE BOYZ's potential move to One Hundred have been circulating within the industry since this spring. However, One Hundred previously didn't confirm anything by saying, "Nothing is confirmed yet."

It appears that One Hundred has been preparing for THE BOYZ's transfer to their company since this summer. With the possibility of a conflict over the trademark for THE BOYZ, One Hundred filed for the trademark 'THE BOYS' on August 28. On November 13, they filed for the trademark 'The New Boyz' and its abbreviation 'TNBZ.'

One Hundred and THE BOYZ's current agency, IST Ent., are reportedly discussing the transfer of the group's name. If the two sides fail to reach an agreement, there is a possibility that THE BOYZ will have to use a new name.

theqoo

-I thought that agency said they would let the boys go peacefully since they're closing down their business. What would make them restrict the boys of using their original group's name?

-I hope they get to keep the name THE BOYZㅜㅜ

-The CEO of THE BOYZ's previous company used to be MC Mong's manager. I'm sure they will handle this matter just fine.

-THE BOYS...?

-Let them have their group name... IST Ent. wouldn't gain anything from keeping it anyway...

-THE BOYZ and IST Ent. seem to not have any problems, though. More than that, they actually seem to have really great relationship...ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-THE BOYS have a completely different meaning...ㅋㅋ Just let them keep their original group name. (NB: Looks like this commenter mistaken it as The Voice since Voice and Boys are written in the same way in Hangeul.)

-THE BOYS somehow give off a vocal group vibe, not an idol group...

-So, they're either going with THE BOYS or THE NEW BOYZ? THE BOYS actually sounds really similar to THE BOYZ if you pronounce it right, so it's actually okay.

-THE REAL GUYS.

-I hope they reach an agreement.

-I forgot the content of the whole article because of that picture... Why are they dressed like that?

-THE BOYZU?

-They’re leaving after the contract period ends without issues, so stop making a fuss.

The first idol in South Korea to openly admit to hair transplants due to hair lossㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Jiwon: Well, actually... This is the first time I'm revealing this. I had a little bit of hair transplanted at the front...!

Jiwon: A lot of people do this nowadays...

Employee: But you're an idol, is it okay to say this?

Jiwon: Why not?! Oh... Is it not okay?

Jiwon: With all the frequent ponytails, I was losing hair at the front. I only had a tiny amount transplanted, but even so, it cost quite a bit.

Employee: About how much?

Jiwon: Around 2 to 3 million KRW. I wonder if insurance covers any of it?

Employee: For that amount, maybe a wig would be cheaper...

Jiwon: A wig? Yeah, but doesn’t it feel a bit different?

Not a male idol, but a female idolㄷㄷㄷㄷ

Fromis9's Park Jiwon

theqoo

-I would be surprised if idols don't experience hair loss

-Considering that they bleach their hair, use hairspray, and tie their hair tightly, it's actually understandable.

-Hul... So are hair transplants possible?? I'm dealing with hair loss and I'm really interested... Does hair transplants last long?

-Yeah... Even a small amount of hair costs at least 2 million KRW. It's really expensive.

-I bet a lot of idols have gotten hair transplants without us knowing. I was worried when I saw my bias' hair is thinning, but one day, it suddenly looked fullerㅋㅋㅋ

-Hul... I also have a receding spot in my bangs area. I was considering to get a hair transplant, but it's really expensiveㅠㅠ

-Even Somi mentioned about hair transplants recently... It seems like a lot of women are getting it done.

-Do they take hair from the back and transplant it to the frown? My hair loss is stressing me out tooㅠㅠ

-If I had the money, I'd want to get my hair transplanted too......

-My dad did a hair transplant and it made a huge differenceㅋㅋㅋ

-Female idols have to diet and constantly change their hairstyles, so it's difficult for them to avoid hair lossㅠㅠ

-I personally think it's understandable for idols to get hair transplants since they must be experiencing hair loss due to all the bleaching and dieting... I wonder where they get it done...

-That's not a hair loss, it's more like a hairline correction.

-My forehead keeps getting wider as I get older, I want to get hair transplants tooㅋㅋ

The predicted vs confirmed artists for Melon Music Awards TOP 10

Digital sales 80, voting 20

They got all predictions right except for Taeyeon

theqoo

-It's very shameful that they removed Taeyeon just for BTS and TWS.

-Huh?? Why did they exclude Taeyeon?

-ㅋㅋI don't understand why a music streaming platform needs judges in the first place.

-That list doesn't include download counts. If Jungkook's download counts were counted, his score would obviously be higher.

-Why remove Taeyeon...?

-Whoa... What is going on here...? What are they expecting us to do?

-Can they really remove artists as they please like that? Even when the scores are shared publicly??

-Why was Taeyeon removed?? She has good digital stream counts too...

-How many years have you been doing this now, Melmu-ya, you f*ckers?

-Is it really because of the download counts...? But wouldn't female soloists like IU and Taeyeon have good download counts...?

-I heard it's because that predicted list doesn't include download counts, but to me it seems like they're just ignoring certain artists.

-Taeyeon has been ignored for 3 years nowㅋㅋㅋ If they don't want to give her an award, they should just leave her out of the nomineesㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Why include her in the nominee list in the first place?

-Predictions should just be taken as predictions.

-Did Taeyeon even release a song this year? I didn't know...

-Has Melon ever given Taeyeon an award...? Is it because she doesn't attend Melon Music Award?? This is f*cking pissing me off.

-That predicted list was not even officially posted by Melon... That list was not even confirmed in the first place...

-That predicted list doesn't include download counts anyway...

The design of IZNA's debut album receives attention for looking similar to this

theqoo

-They're just doing this to get their name out there. Look at how quickly they became the trending post after copying. But isn't it too much to copy NewJeans at this point?

-Save NewJeansㅠㅠㅠ Agencies, why are you doing this?

-HYBE has pretty much ruined the entire entertainment industry.

-It's way too similar...

-I think it's just a common design, though?

-As soon as I saw the first picture, I thought of NewJeans. They f*cking straight-up copied it.

-They don't care about the backlash. They're just doing noise marketing to get the group's name out thereㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ It's disgusting to think that they're doing this despite knowing the group's situation.

-NewJeans has turned into the standard for girl groups now, huh?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Everyone's copying themㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Now that NewJeans has become a free source, let them free.

-If someone didn't know, they'd think it's the same album.

-If this is noise marketing, we should respond by boycotting.

-This is so severeㅋㅋㅋㅋ This happened not only once. How many times should the girls put up with this?

-Save NewJeans.

-nugu?

-Whoa... They just copied and pasted the whole concept...

-Sigh... Leave NewJeans alone, seriously...

-I thought it was the same album.

A tweet about Korean men is gaining retweets overseas

An account with 86,000 followers posted a thread about it

That account is also posting other tweets about the gender ratio on Korean Tinder, etc

theqoo

-Let it spread globally.

-It seems like Tinder in South Korea has already become a platform for LGBTQ people

-This country is known for oppressing women. The fact that they don't kill us is already a good thing.

-Let’s let people know more about Korean men.

-Korean men are jealous of women. They want to easily make money by selling their bodies. Korean men dream of being treated like a princess while engaging in prostitution.

-Is Tinder an application for gays?

-In foreign countries, women are recognized as the weaker gender. However, in South Korea, we're not even acknowledged at all.

-That’s why 4B is trending.

-Korean women are truly pitiful. Let's stay strong.

-Where did it all go wrong?ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

-The men in our country are fighting to be princessesㅋㅋㅋ

-I didn't know there were so many gay men in South Korea!!

-Please let the people all over the world know about this🙏🙏

-They're truly the worst...

Even if all men and women aged 20-49 pair up, 11.2% of Korean men still wouldn't have partner

Even if all single men and women between ages 20 and 49 were paired, one out of ten single men would still be unable to find a marriage partner. This is because the male population is larger than men due to the cultural preference for sons over daughters from the 1970s to the mid-2000s. This phenomenon is more pronounced in rural areas than in Seoul.

According to the June edition of 'Issue & Focus' published by the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs on the 17th, the number of 'unmatched singles' in Korea stood at 1,226,823 as of 2020. This term refers to the remaining single men after hypothetically matching all unmarried men and women aged 20-49. The imbalance in male-to-female ratio which has persisted for decades resulted in more unmarried men than unmarried women. In 1995, the number of 'unmatched single' men was 102,887, which was only 0.9% of the total number of unmarried men aged 20 to 49 (1,140,708). However, by 2020, the number of 'unmatched single' men surpassed 1.2 million, while the total number of unmarried men decreased to 1,093,274, increasing the ratio of 'unmatched single' men to 11.2%.

In reality, both the number of unmarried men of childbearing age and the unmarried rate are higher than for women. In 2020, the gender ratio among those born in 1985, the age for first marriage, around 33.2 years, was 169.8. In other words, there were 169.8 men for every 100 women. This is significantly high, considering that the natural gender ratio is between 104-105. The unmarried rate for men born in 1985 (46.5%) was 1.6 times that of women (29.1%), similar to the birth ratio imbalance.

For those born in 1990, close to the average age for first marriage, the gender ratio is 144.6, with the population of unmarried men (260,903) being 80,479 higher compared to the population of unmarried women (181,154). Cho Sungho, a senior researcher at KIHASA, stated, "In 1990, the birth gender ratio for third-born children reached 193.7. This is the result of the selective gender preference of children. Even if the gender ratio is balanced, it is difficult to achieve complete matching due to individual preferences such as age, personality, and appearance. However, the significant gender imbalance makes an excess of male population in the marriage market inevitable for a while."

Article posted in 2012: 'In 10 years, time when women will be eager to marry will come'

The reason why this era has yet to arrive:

Even if all unmarried men and women aged 20-49 are paired 1:1, over a million unmarried men remain unmatched.

theqoo

-There are so few women that even if every woman of every age re-marries, some men still wouldn't be able to marry.

-What can you do?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ This is the result of male-preference biasㅋㅋㅋ It's funny to see them complaining about women not wanting to marry or have children after they killed female babies in the past.

-If they can't find a partner, they can just live alone. I don't understand why they have to whine so much.

-Why are you matching up people as you please?

-If I were a man, I'd be studying feminism and working on my competitivenessㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Now is not the time to be a Donghyun (NB: This is equal to Karen, but for Korean men).

-Parents from previous generations were so sure their precious sons would marry and bring home daughter-in-laws who would have kids and handle the housework, so they aborted their babies if they found out it was a girlㅋㅋ

-Is it even possible to pair 1:1?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Maybe men with no partners can just marry each other. They'd get along really well.

-Let's promote same-sex marriage among men.

-That is what you call karma. Who told you to abort baby girls?

-Donghyuns wouldn't understand this article... There are just too many numbers in it.........

-We can just abandon monogamy and have one Nam-mi-sae (NB: Woman who is crazy for men) take care of ten men.

-There’ll be one more man left because I don't have the thoughts to get married~

-They're saying they'll just marry foreign women...

-What else can we do? Men should just have kids with each other!

-They were the ones who aborted baby girls because they preferred to have sons. Live with your sons forever.

-This is the result of national gendercide.
