Baekhyun has issued an apology regarding the indoor smoking controversy.
On September 16, Baekhyun's agency, INB100, stated, "We sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable about our artist Baekhyun smoking indoors."
The agency explained, "Baekhyun and our staff were completely unaware that electronic cigarettes were banned in Macau. During a meal with staff after his concert in Macau, the conversation became lively, and Baekhyun unconsciously used an electronic cigarette."
The statement continued, "Baekhyun deeply regrets disappointing many fans due to his careless behavior and sincerely apologizes. Both the agency and Baekhyun will be more cautious to ensure that such incidents do not happen again, and we promise not to disappoint our fans with similar situations in the future."
Previously, a video showing Baekhyun smoking indoors at what is presumed to be a restaurant spread online, causing controversy.
