THE BOYZ's Younghoon shading on 'PD Note' episode of MC Mong and Cha Gawon? ... "I'm glad more people know about it now"

According to a recent report by Sports Chosun, THE BOYZ's Younghoon left a highly meaningful remark on a fan communication platform which led many fan to speculate about its meaning due to its timing and wording:

"I was watching TV today and something interesting came on. I'm glad it seems that more people have become aware of it now. I hope everything gets resolved well for all the victims."

The reason is because on June 2nd, MBC's 'PD Note' aired an episode titled 'MC Mong and the chairwoman's K-pop business secrets.' In this episode, 'PD Note' raised allegations that MC Mong and One Hundred Label Chairwoman Cha Gawon were in an inappropriate relationship and engaged in illegal gamblings together. The episode also claimed that Cha Gawon had personally misused advance payments totaling 115 billion KRW belonging to One Hundred Label and its subsidiaries and that artists under the company, including Lee Seunggi and Baekhyun, were charged exclusive contract fees over three times higher than the standard in the industry.

In response, Cha Gawon denied all the allegations, stating, "Not a single KRW of the advance payments was used for purposes other than production costs." MC Mong also rejected all claims made by 'PD Note,' calling them fabricated, and announced plans to pursue a lawsuit seeking approximately 100 billion KRW in damages.

Amidst this situation, Younghoon's message has drawn attention because he is currently involved in a legal dispute with One Hundred Label.

In February, nine members of THE BOYZ, excluding New, notified One Hundred Label that they were terminating their exclusive contracts due to a breakdown of trust, unpaid settlements, and other issues. Last month, the court approved the members' request for an injunction to suspend the validity of their exclusive contracts.

However, One Hundred Label countered, stating, "We have already paid signing bonuses of 1.5 billion KRW to each member of THE BOYZ, totaling 16.5 billion KRW," and arguedthat the members should repay an amount corresponding to the remaining duration of their contracts.

"She was married, but we dated" ... Cha Gawon's uncle exposes test messages in which MC Mong admits to an affair

According to a recent report by MyDaily, private text messages between singer-producer MC Mong and P.Ark Group and One Hundred Label Chairwoman Cha Gawon were revealed, drawing significant attention from the public.

In this episode, Cha Gawon's uncle and also the head of a major construction development company identified as Mr. A appeared and exposed the raw, unfiltered messages that he claimed to have received directly from MC Mong. In the messages, MC Mong allegedly wrote:

"I dated Gawon. Three years ago, she asked me out. After thinking about it for a long time, I agreed to date her. Even though she was married, she told me she was in the process of getting a divorce. I was grateful for how much she took care of and protected me. As a man, I gambled. I gambled with Cha Gawon. She also helped me pay off some of my gambling debts."

Mr. A claimed that after receiving those messages, MC Mong personally visited him and threatened to expose his relationship with Cha Gawon to the media, engaging in intimidation and attempted extortion.

However, the explanations from Cha Gawon are completely different. She strongly countered:

"If I open my mouth, a lot of people will get hurt. The entire entertainment industry could turn completely upside down."

Cha Gawon explained that she came to know MC Mong after he asked for help because investors were withdrawing from his company. Hower, starting in early 2025, Cha Gawon repeatedly received reports about his involvement in prostitution, which made her feel deeply betrayed. After causing problems and leaving, MC Mong joined forces with Mr. A. Cha Gawon added, "If it weren't for that, the company would never have ended up in this situation."

In short, Cha Gawon's side maintains that the allegations regarding their private lives are completely false and part of an attempt by the two men to seize control of the company. MC Mong also denied the affair allegations and directed criticism toward the broadcasting station, stating that the messages had been fabricated and pieced together maliciously.

Later, MC Mong expressed his frustation during a livestream, saying:

"I intend to fight this with my reputation on the line. I will hold them accountable for taking away the last 18 years of my life. I will also file a damages lawsuit worth approximately 100 billion KRW against the producers of 'PD Note.'"

Taemin paid staff salaries with his own money ... Was 'broken trust' the reason for ending the contract with Cha Gawon?

SOURCE: 태민, 사비로 스태프 월급 지불…차가원과 계약 해지 '신뢰 파탄' 원인이었나 [엑's 이슈]

It has been revealed that Taemin paid some staff members’ monthly salaries with his own money. Amid this, there are claims that 'breakdown of trust' was the reason behind his split with CEO Cha Gawon.

On the 24th, Big Planet Made shared an official statement saying, "We inform you that our exclusive contract with Taemin has ended. We ask for your continued support and interest in his future activities."

With this, their short 1-year and 10-months journey came to an end. According to the music industry, there was still time remaining on Taemin’s exclusive contract with Big Planet Made. However, it is reported that Taemin strongly requested termination of the contract, and after discussions, both sides agreed to part ways.

Taemin’s side has not disclosed specific reasons for the separation. However, some media reports claim that CEO Cha Gawon failed to settle payments and committed a major mistake in the process of signing contracts with external companies without Taemin's consent. Reports further claim that Taemin used his own money to pay some staff members so he could keep working with them. As a result, many believe that 'breakdown of trust' caused by money issues was the main reason for the split.

CEO Cha Gawon, who leads One Hundred, Big Planet Made Entertainment, and INB100 recently has been suspected of failing to pay tens of billions of KRW to various companies involved in album production for their artists. Coincidentally, after transferring to Big Planet Made in March 2024, Taemin released his 5th mini-album, ETERNAL, that same year. However, last year he only released a special single 'Veil' rather than a physical album. Some have speculated that unpaid production costs may be the reason the album production did not go smoothly.

Additionally, there were reports that CEO Cha Gawon purchased multiple luxury items on credit from a department store and failed to pay for them, resulting to a legal freeze of a villa she owns in Hannam-dong. Regarding this, Cha Gawon's side stated, "The report contains incorrect facts and could hurt the reputation of the company and individuals," but doubts continue to grow as money problems are constantly mentioned.

Meanwhile, Big Planet Made Entertainment is a subsidiary of One Hundred, which CEO Cha Gawon and MC Mong founded in December 2023. Artists under this label include Lee Seunggi, Lee Soogeun, Lee Mujin, Ha Sungwoon, NU'EST's Ren, and VIVIZ's Eunha, SinB, and Umji.
